Two of our coaching clients are playing in the Super Bowl!! We are excited to see these men in the biggest game of the year for American Football fans. The Super Bowl has become a social occasion as well as a sporting event in the US. Seeing men we have coached, who are playing in this big event, makes it very special! Since they are both playing for the Atlanta Falcons … we know who to cheer for during the game.

For several years we have been providing pro bono coaching for the University of Minnesota Gopher Football Team players. We provide extra individual coaching for the top players going for the Big Ten Media Days each year.
Ra’Shede Hageman was 6ft 6in (198 cm) and over 300 pounds (136 kg) when we worked with him. Carol saw him a few months after coaching and she asked Ra’Shede “How are you doing?” and his response was, “The question is, how do YOU think I’m doing?” They then took the selfie picture on the left. He now plays for the Atlanta Falcons.

De’Vondre Campbell is a similar height. He is a great football player and an engaging personality. He had completed his bachelor’s degree when we worked with him, and was being certified in human resources.
These guys are very special to us. Carol is know as the “Brownie Mom” for the team because over the last ten years we have baked fantastic homemade brownies for the team before their first game of the season. The players come into the program as 18 year-old kids away from home … maybe for the first time. Carol offered to use her State Fair ribbon winning baking skills to give them a touch of home. One of the players took one bite of a brownie and said, “These are the best brownies I have ever had … don’t tell my mom I said that!”
So…we feel like we have two of our kids playing in the Super Bowl!
